A HISTORICAL moment for Malvern will take place on Sunday afternoon at Victoria Park when Malvern's Ladies football team play their inaugural match in the Gloucestershire County Women's Football league.
The Club's manager, Dennis Coxhead, is assisted by three coaches - Chris Burton, Nigel Soley and Dave perks. Dennis said "MLFC is very fortunate that we have had support from local businesses throughout Malvern. We are extremely grateful to Peter Cartridge of First Floor Flooring for sponsoring the new kit this season."
Dave perks added, "We are holding an auction at the Cross keys on November 3 to raise money for the ladies to travel to our away matches. I have approached many businesses in Malvern for support, who have kindly offered items/services for auction. If anyone would like to help they can contact us via the Cross Keys."
Dennis continued, "It would e great to see a crowd on the touch line at a our matches. All the ladies have trained extremely hard and we have had promising results in our friendlies. MLFC home matches will be played on Sunday afternoons at Victoria Park. We're always on the lookout for new talent for both under 14's and the senior team. Anyone over ten years of age, wishing to join MLFC will be made welcome. Ability and experience is not necessary."
