RED Lion Falcons' debut in the Worcester & District League Division Four was not a memorable one as they were soundly beaten by a well organised St Johns side at Howard Road on Sunday.

Red Lion, sponsored by AJ Gammond Ltd, showed plenty of promise though and will be encouraged that two of their opponents goals came as they pushed hard for a consolation in the last 10 minutes.
St John's scorers were Sam Shuker (three) and Mark King (two).
On Sunday the Lion entertain Division Two outfit Martley Spurs Reserves in the Bernard Finnegan Cup 1st Round. Kick off is 10.30am at the Chase High School. Players meet 9.45am.
