SPARTAK reached the semi final of the cup after beating the reserve side of semi-professional outfit Malvern Town.
The game started explosively with goalkeeper John Slade forced into two terrific early saves to stop the home side going into an early lead, and at the other end Tony Rees almost put Spartak ahead.
Both sides had plenty of possession but were unable to force any clear cut chances and the sides went down the tunnel level at half-time.
The second half was only ten minutes old when Terry Wales put Spartak ahead with a close range finish after good work from Campbell. Malvern woke up and they bombarded the Spartak goal.
In the 90th minute Malvern equalised when a free kick evaded everyone and trickled into the net, thus taking the game into extra time.
Spartak showed no signs of fatigue as they controlled the whole of the first period, deservedly scoring what turned out to be the winning goal with a second strike by Wales.
