I READ with interest the letter by WE Weston (Advertiser, November 29) about the results at Bridley Moor High School being higher than the other two schools in Redditch that are due to be kept open.
I was delighted to accept an invitation recently to attend the prize giving at Bridley Moor and spent a very sad but enjoyable evening there with my husband.
The pride in the school was remarkable and the head boy and head girl made eloquent and moving speeches, along with many others.
I would like to wish every member of staff and every pupil all the best for the future.
They know the decision to close their school was a wrong one, as do many other people, but we must now ensure every child in Redditch gets the very best we can provide.
