MANY thanks to each and every one of you who so kindly supported the sponsored walk at the Arrow Valley Lake in aid of the Where Next Association new vehicle fund.
Special thanks go to all that completed the walk and in particular to the deputy mayor, Dot Dudley, for the part she played in making the event so successful.
Dot not only gave of her time on that chilly day to fire the starter's gun but remained all afternoon to cheer the walkers on and finally present certificates and do a photo call.
I feel extremely proud and privileged to be associated with the Where Next Association clientele.
They understand the desperate need for a new vehicle to enable them to help themselves. So when so many turned out to join in this fund-raising event, I was thrilled.
I was expecting to raise £500 but it appears that the final amount will be very close to £1,300. Well done everyone.
There is still some way to go but I am sure with continued support I shall one day present Where Next Association with a new van.
