A 375-NAME petition asking for traffic calming measures to be installed in Church Hill has arrived at Redditch Council anonymously.
Council officers have received the petition but without a point of contact or covering letter and a spokesman said they had no way of responding.
Anyone involved in the request to put measures from the top of Loxley Close to the bottom of Rickyard Lane has been asked to contact the council immediately.
A spokesman said: We have a response waiting here which states the petition will go to the next relevant council meeting, which will be on Monday.
And then it will be transferred to committee on January 23.
The request has also been sent to Worcestershire County Council's Highways Partnership unit for Redditch.
Anyone who knows anything about the petition can call Janice Smyth at the town hall on 64252.
