SPA children have been praised after the Government's league tables were published to highlight how they rank in core subjects.
The performance tables, revealed on Thursday, rank schools on how 11-year-old pupils perform in English, maths and science.
Headteacher Kate Hill of St Joseph's RC Primary School, in Ombersley Way, heard her school ranked 11th out of 98 Worcestershire schools based on an aggregate figure.
She said: "We are delighted we have exceeded our targets.
"Our children continue to work hard and teachers build on their successes each year."
Witton Middle School, in Old Coach Road, holds 44th position and Westacre Middle School, in Ombersley Way, ranked 75th.
