A WOMAN, believed to be the oldest Westlands resident, has died aged 99.
Elizabeth Charie lived in Meadow Piece until one week ago when she moved to Ravenstone Nursing and Residential Home, in St Andrew's Road.
She died at the home on Sunday morning.
Friend Molly Doody, of Meadow Piece, said: "Elizabeth was a wonderful character and in 1993 she was invited to open the new Westlands hall after it was refurbished.
"She moved here from Birmingham about 30 years ago and celebrated her birthday in November."
