CHILDREN from Droitwich must be on their best behaviour if they want sacks of presents this Christmas when Santa Claus comes to town.
Community-spirited members of Droitwich Spa Round Table have started their annual tour with Santa's sleigh.
Saint Nicholas's helpers will be making a note of children's Christmas wishes and collecting cash for worthy charities including the Advertiser's Keep the Pamela May Afloat appeal.
Twenty-five per cent of the collection will go to the community narrow boat, based at Hanbury Wharf, to help the scheme provide outings on the water for elderly and sick residents.
The sparkling sleigh will be out and about in the weeks leading up to Christmas, weather permitting.
The group has not planned a rigid time-table but will aim to visit most of the Spa's main residential areas including Witton, Chawson, Primsland and The Ridings.
Round table chairman Alan Pearson told the Advertiser: "The sleigh has been a popular sight for many years in Droitwich, giving pleasure to young and old alike.
"Please give generously, because we aim to give as much to the needy in our community as possible. Keep your eyes peeled and look out for Santa."
