A WOMAN who every December delights scores of youngsters when she turns her home into a fairytale Christmas grotto - complete with resident Santa - is herself looking for a special person.
Bridget Kings's brightly decorated home, in Grafton Crescent, Charford, has become a tourist attraction for hoards of motoring sightseers.
And its fame has spread far beyond Bromsgrove.
Every night she plays host to dozens of youngsters, some from as far away as Gloucester and Birmingham, who call to see Santa, and in return for a donation to charity receive a gift.
Bridget is anxious that the money is used to give a child a Christmas to remember.
"I want to give a special treat to a kiddie who really deserves to have their dream come true," she said.
"There must be a child in the Bromsgrove area who perhaps is ill and whose parents cannot afford to make Christmas really special."
Last year "Fairy Godmother" Bridget set herself a target of £300 to grant the wish of Bromsgrove youngster Ellie Edwards, who wanted to meet Mickey Mouse at Disneyland. Sadly, she died before she was able to fulfil her dream.
But the story touched the hearts of many readers when they read the story in the Advertiser/Messenger.
"We were delighted when we emptied the donations box and found we had a staggering £789," she said.
If she cannot find a deserving cause Bridget plans to give the cash to the oncology ward at The Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital, Birmingham, in memory of Ellie.
Bridget hopes the many sightseers will stop and make a donation.
