OTHER parties have been urged to stand down and make it a straight fight between Labour and Health Concern at the next General Election.
The Wyre Forest Liberal group has thrown its support behind Health Concern for the widely predicted spring election and has urged other parties to do the same.
Liberal leader Fran Oborski said: "The main issue in Wyre Forest is the destruction of Kidderminster Hospital by the Labour Government and Worcestershire Health Authority which it appoints and the role of Labour MP David Lock in that destruction."
She claimed: "Everybody keeps telling us that David Lock should go and that they want him out at the General Election.
"The best way to do that is for everyone who supports the hospital and who wants to see him go to rally behind a Health Concern candidate in the forthcoming General Election."
She added: "Come the General Election we will be working in support of the Health Concern candidate. We invite the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats to join us."
The Liberal Party polled 1,670 votes at the last General Election compared to Labour 26,843, Conservative 19,897, Liberal Democrat 4,377, and Referendum 1,956.
