SCOTT Mullen's hat-trick helped Brintons into the Worcestershire Junior Cup semi-finals when they beat Pershore Town Reserves 6-1.
Brintons began dramatically by scoring three goals inside the first 10 minutes.
Lee Stubbings won the ball for Brintons with a fine tackle and crossed for Lee Jordan to fire home from close range after just two minutes of play.
Their lead was extended when John Maffei received the ball on the edge of the box and played it through to Mullen, who finished past the home keeper.
The third was added when Stubbings again crossed from the left for Paul Mason to head home.
The home side managed to prevent any more Brintons score until the 35th minute when Mullen received the ball in midfield and hit a terrific drive over the keeper from 30 yards.
Pershore began the second half hoping to find a way back and they reduced the deficit to 4-1.
But Mullen completed his hat-trick following a cross from Maffei which he slotted past the goalkeeper.
And Maffei finished off the scoring by chipping the keeper from 30 yards just before time.
Fixture, Saturday: Malvern Town Reserves v Brintons (Banks's Brewery League Division One South).
