COUNCIL licensing chiefs have rejected objections to a Kidderminster pub's public entertainment licence application.
Despite a 25-name protest petition, Jacksons in Marlpool Lane has been given the go-ahead for music, singing, dancing, live bands and karaoke.
Members of Wyre Forest District Council's licensing committee approved the application by licensee Simon Matthew Andrews on Monday.
But the committee asked for extra soundproofing and a noise limiter on audio equipment to reduce potential nuisance to nearby residents.
The licence, valid between 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and mid-day to 10.30pm on Sundays, is also subject to a maximum of 100 people being allowed in and two stewards being on duty.
