KIND members of a Wyre Forest group are hoping a last ditch appeal on Saturday will help reach their 'gifts for needy children' target.
The Christmas Tree Appeal by Wyre Forest Junior Chamber aims to collect 450 gifts to be distributed by Kidderminster's Hansel and Gretel Family Support Unit, Social Services and Scope.
Tags, which carry the name and age of a child, as well as an idea for a gift, can be obtained on Saturday from a stall in the Rowland Hill Shopping Centre.
Junior chamber spokesman Mark Edwards said: "We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported our appeal, including the Shuttle/Times & News. We have had to draft in helpers from other branches to cope with the response."
