A VILLAGE football club mourning the death of a former player had their kit stolen from a Kidderminster laundrette.
Queen's Head Wolverley's strip was taken in a burglary at the Forest Wash Laundrette, Park Lane, along with cash from the till on Thursday night.
Officials were informed of the theft just before they were due to attend the funeral of former team-mate Lee Antcliff, killed in a car crash eight days earlier, the next morning.
Police suspect the £250 blue kit may have been thrown away and team manager Kevin Cutler admitted: "The kit has our name all over it and another team is certainly not going to end up in our league with that on."
Anyone with information on the kit should call Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
