THE owner of a Kidderminster fish and chip shop was out of luck for a second time when his bid to install a gaming machine was thrown out by councillors.
Stavros Stavrinou's application for an amusements-with-prizes machine at the Fish Bar, Mill Street, was rejected by members of Wyre Forest's licensing committee on Monday.
It was the second application by Mr Stavrinou, following initial refusal in October.
The district council's head of environmental health and community safety had expressed reservations to committee members.
The machine would be sited in a small area where customers queued for fish and chips and it was considered "impossible" to prevent people under 18 playing the machine, in line with legal restrictions.
