HE may be only 17 but young scribbler Chris Jones has a winning way with words.
Now the Pershore penman is to see excerpts of his work performed at Birmingham Repertory Theatre after winning a competition.
The high school sixth form student will join 20 other writers at the Rep every two weeks for a workshop on developing storylines and plots.
After eight months he will have completed a script and an excerpt of his work will be produced and performed by Rep directors and actors at a festival in July.
Chris, who is studying history, theatre studies, English and general studies, wrote his way on to the course by penning a three-page scene and a synopsis of his own idea for a play.
