THE prime minister is being sent daily letters about the plight of an 81-year-old Kidderminster woman "dumped" in a hospital 30 miles from home.
Edna Langford, of Offmore Farm, Kidderminster, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and mobility problems, has spent more than 10 weeks in Evesham Community Hospital.
Wyre Forest Council leader Mike Oborski said it was because county social services could not fund a place in Kidderminster.
Her daughter, Nancy, has to make a six-hour round trip to Evesham on the bus.
Mrs Langford's plight started when she fell at Holmwood Nursing Home, Kidderminster, 12 weeks ago and was taken to Ronkswood Hospital, Worcester, for x-rays.
She was badly bruised and admitted to Evesham Community Hospital.
Mr Oborski said: "Social services say that Mrs Langford needs a placement with 24-hour nursing. They should find her that accommodation without delay and as near to her daughter as possible and put an end to this misery."
A Worcestershire County Council spokesman said social services are looking into Mrs Langford's case.
