ADRIAN Skeggs makes three changes to the Worcester Rugby Club side to face London Welsh at Sixways as he bids to get his National One pacesetters back on track.
The Sixways' director of coaching has dropped Mathew Back, Ally McLean and Nathan Carter in the wake of Worcester's first league defeat of the season at Moseley and recalls Ian Calder, Spencer Bromley and Nick Broughton to Saturday's line-up.
A final decision on the fitness of hooker Andrew Lamerton will be made tomorrow after the former Welsh international suffered a knee injury in Saturday's 22-15 loss at Bournbrook.
Chris Hall stands by for his first Sixways start on Saturday (3pm) if Lamerton is ruled out. There is once again no place for former favourite Nick Baxter with winger McLean dropping to the bench.
Skeggs believes the changes will bring out the best in his side with a number of players catching the eye in training this week.
He said: "Players such as Spencer Bromley have been fantastic in training and he deserves his chance. He will give us extra options out wide and is the type who will actually make things happen on the pitch.
"Spencer will really add something to our attack but at the same time it was the toughest decision I have made this season to drop Ally because he has done nothing wrong."
Skeggs added: "Mathew Back has played a lot of games this season so far and deserves a rest while Nick Broughton played some good stuff when he came on as substitute against Moseley and whenever he has come in to the team he has not let me down.
"Players such as Chris Simpson-Daniel are very close to a recall but I think with the wet conditions, Richard Jarman will come into his own."
Team: Calder; Tuipulotu, Murdoch, Keil, Bromley, Va'a, Jarman; Windo, Lamerton (Hall), Hartland, Sims, Zaltzman, Evans, Broughton, Fryday. Reps: Collins, Denhardt, Carter, Moretti, Langkilde, McLean, Simspson-Daniel.
