MICKLETON SOCIETY: The village hall was packed for the Christmas supper on December 4, when members met and chatted before settling at festively decorated tables to enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Marguerite and her helpers. Chairman, John Atherton, welcomed us all and proposed thanks to Marguerite, and to Dot Pye and Kay Jones who had made the decorations. John wished everyone happy Christmas before looking forward to meeting us again for the first talk of the New Year on January 8. The evening came to a close with a Christmas raffle held each year for a local charity, generously supported by The Cabin, Clive Porter, Costcutter, The Post Office and Three Ways House.
