SAVE THE CHILDREN FUND: Those who attended last year's concert given by the Karousels in aid of the Save the Children Fund were last week rewarded with another excellent performance by this versatile Southam based choir. This time the audience was presented with seasonal music which included a number of well known tunes as 'When the red red robin come bob bob bobbin' along' and Irvin Berlin's 'White Christmas'. Soloists Carolyn Taylor, Sue Dolman and Helen Wilson did a grand job of singing 'Walking in the air', 'Mary's boychild' and 'Spanish Carol' respectively. Much praise also for accompanist John Harwood and musical director Helen Morris whom with a little humour, created so much enthusiasm. It was a very enjoyable performance. Chris Lane, district organiser for the Save the Children Fund, thanked everyone for their support. The Wellesbourne committee also wishes to thank everyone for supporting the event and in particular the local businesses who donated refreshments and prizes for the raffle.
