LITTLETON Athletic will go into the new year in pole position of the H2O Plumbing and Heating Division of the Evesham and District Table tennis Association following six straight wins and only one defeat.
Martin Brown and Andrew Taylor handed both Wyre Piddle Red Devils and QT 5-0 defeats when all games were won in two straight sets.
Rebecca Talbot made her singles debut for the Athletic against Simon de Montfort Veela and, in partnership with Taylor, came away with another 5-0 victory.
Second-placed Wyre Piddle Triple X came from 2-1 behind to beat clubmates QT despite Charles Fisher beating both Jon Monks and Craig Pitcher.
Monks and Pitcher both beat Matthew Quiney and then won the doubles 21-15 in the third to take the match.
Stephen Charlton made his league bow for Triple X in a 4-1 defeat of Littleton Warriors.
SDM Wizards continue to improve and beat third-placed Warriors 3-2 despite Phil Talbot winning both his singles. Oliver Bailey and Alan Chung took the doubles 21-19, 21-11 to pinch the four points.
Bailey and Chung then swept Wyre Piddle Red Devils aside 5-0. The Devils came out on top of the two least experienced sides when Leon Will-iams, David Fisher and Nick Walton beat SDM Veela 5-0.
Vicki Rigg, Laura Boggelin and Mae Ellison are still looking for their first win but still playing with plenty of spirit.
Young Eleanor Lasota beat both Williams and Walton to help Littleton Flirts to a 3-2 victory over the Red Devils. Adam Townsend beat both Lasota and Emma Talbot when the Flirts visited Wyre QT's.
The two Flirts both beat Matt-hew Quiney but lost 21-15, 21-15 against Townsend and Charles Fisher in the doubles.
