LAST Thursday evenings torrential rain and floods certainly brought out the 'British Bulldog Spirit' in our Benefice when so many braved the elements for The Salvation Army Carol Service.
Most members of the band managed to get through floods to reach Berrow from Hereford but due to the worsening conditions after refreshments the members decided to try and get back home. The rest, although wet and windswept, made their way to the beautifully decorated church and sang carols to the accompaniment of Giles Turner on the organ.
Thank you to Celia for all the hard work arranging the event and to everyone who helped in any way. The band will return in the spring.
Thanks to your generous donations a cheque for £200 is being sent to the Salvation Army Hereford branch.
