MALVERN Town visit Darlaston in the Banks Brewery League Premier Division tomorrow (Saturday) and hope to maIntain a run of League form that has seen them pick up twenty five points out of a possible thirty.
Manager Joey Rawle expects to name a full squad, but will still be without Martin Phillpotts who is in the middle of a thirty five day suspension and midfielder Mark Brooks who is probably two weeks away from full fitness.
Darlaston are third in the table, but have recently lost their manager, an event which has coincided with two defeats against lowly Star and Walsall Wood.
Town though are not taking anything for granted, assistant manager Richard Anson said: "Whatever the circumstances, Darlaston is always a difficult place to go and we expect a tough game."
Malvern Town (from): Sanders, Higgins, Clayton, Hayes, Cotterill, Damore, Sharma, Maidment, Ward, Walker, Thomas, Whittal - Williams, Shepherd, Slade and Judge.
The match kicks-off at 2.15pm.
Commenting on Town's victory at Little Drayton, Town assistant manager Richard Anson said: "This was an excellent result. Drayton have been playing well and privately we might have settled for a draw, however over the 90 minutes we felt we were the better side, but looked as though we might have succumbed to some last ditch pressure.
"December is really a big month for us and with Darlaston this Saturday, Wolverhampton Casuals the following week and the visit of Kington on Boxing Day, then these are all six pointers.
"If we can come out of this period on the right side then we do believe, despite Ludlow's lead, we can have a say in the Championship race, but these games will test us to the full and there is absolutely no room for complacency."
One player who expected to be in the Town line up last weekend was Sean Davies, but his transfer from Bromyard Town to Malvern was stalled by a Bromyard official who would not sign the transfer form due to an alleged discrepancy over dates.
Anson said: "The whole thing has become ridiculously protracted. I cannot go into the details here as we are seeking advice from the League."
One signing expected to go through this week was that of striker Matthew Upton from County Sports.
The 19 year old Upton was a regular goalscorer in the Worcester City Central Conference side and has made a handful of appearances for the City first team.
He switched to County Sports this season in pursuit of regular first team football, but now looks set to sign for Town.
With a heavy Christmas and New Year programme coming up Town have also re-signed 30-year-old centre back Simon Hollands.
Hollands ,a regular in the Town first team four years ago, has signed primarily to give Town some extra defensive cover and came through 120 minutes for the Reserves on Saturday.
