LANDslides could result from the heaviest rainfall in the area since records began.
Dormant springs have erupted all over the Malvern Hills during the past month and the director at Malvern Hills Conservators, Ian Rowat, said water was flowing out of the hills in all sorts of places, not all of them convenient for road users and residents.
"They're nice as running streams and look attractive, but lower down the slopes they're beginning to become dangerous," he said.
"My main concern with all this water is land slides. At my old patch in South Devon there was a slide and we had one west of Malvern years ago.
"At the moment I think it's just something that needs watching. We haven't taken any advice but the hills are not like some areas in the country which are prone to landslides.
"I think there has been a small one in someone's garden but the hills themselves are made of granite and they should be OK but there was a slide near the Gullet Quarry a few years ago.
"Where slides could happen is where the soil is banked up in gardens and people should be aware of this," said Mr Rowat.
He urged drivers to try and keep off the grass because it is so wet.
"The wheels of vehicles are really cutting up the grass," he said.
