CARERS and the people they care for will be travelling down to London on Tuesday, December 19, to protest to MPs about the level of funding for Worcestershire County Council.
The Worcestershire Campaign Action Group fears that the low Standard Spending Assessment will cause social service provision to be cut further.
Kath Cheer, of the Worcestershire Association of Carers, said: "Worcestershire has been underfunded for so long that we have a really low base budget. The Government must do better for carers and vulnerable people in the county."
Judy Adams, of Mencap, said: "We must take this chance to make sure the government and our local MPs take responsibility for what will happen in Worcestershire if we have to take yet another cut in funding.
"It is clear that there is just nowhere that can stand any more cuts in services for vulnerable people or their carers.
"Yet again Worcestershire is back at the bottom of the government's funding league and they need to realise that there is a real risk to disabled people and their services."
