IT will be eyes down at Alcester High School Technology College on Friday when a family Christmas bingo night is held to raise money for a quiet area for students.
The Gerard Road school is hoping to attract a full house since its major fund-raising event of the year was called off last month due to bad weather.
The school's annual bonfire night celebrations were due to be held at Bidford's Big Meadow, but the meadow flooded.
The Friends of Alcester High School committee is also toying with the idea of holding a Burns Night on January 27 in place of the bonfire night activities where fireworks bought for the event could be used.
Deputy headteacher Chris Millen said: "We get about 1,500 people turn up to the bonfire night and usually take about £3,000.
"But because the event was called off, we have 13 guys which were made by students at the school and a range of fireworks being securely stored until we can put on another event, such as a Burns Night."
The doors to the bingo night open at 7pm and prizes are set to include cash and seasonal goods. There will also be refreshments.
