ASTON Cantlow Village Hall will be the setting for a fun children's production presented by Live and Local this week.
The Gloop Monster, performed by the Birmingham-based Custard Factory Theatre Company, takes place on Friday and is another production in the Live and Local programme being taken to village halls and community venues.
The story centres around Amethyst Pebble, the world's youngest millionaire pupil who arrives at the strangest school in the country.
Words suddenly start disappearing from the dictionary and it is up to her and Spider, the school nerd, to find out what is going on, why the chemistry master is so weird and what the horrible thing in the basement is.
Live and Local director John Laidlaw said: "There's plenty of fun for children with the Custard Factory Company's new show The Gloop Monster.
"It is a great fun romp and has been described as Harry Potter meets Roald Dahl, promising some pretty disgusting glooping noises!"
The Gloop Monster starts at 7pm and is suitable for children aged four upwards.
Tickets are available from 01789 488475.
