ALVECHURCH manager Mick Preece was left fuming after last night's (Thursday) Worcestershire Senior Urn tie at Bromsgrove Rovers Reserves was again postponed.
After several postponements prompted by wet weather, Preece was itching for his side to get back into action with the Bromsgrove pitch playable.
But upon arrival at the ground Preece was told the match was off because a branch from a tree next to the ground had split away and was resting on the roof of the main stand.
I'm sick to death of it all, said the frustrated Church boss, I'm fed up with it.
I saw the branch, it had come away but not entirely and was just resting on the stand.
I don't know if they think that's dangerous but no date has been set to try again.
I won't even contemplate it until they come back with a firm date.
Alvechurch are set to visit struggling Bolehall Swifts on Saturday (ko 2.45pm) before trying yet again to stage their home Rameses Midland Invitation Cup tie against Warley on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm).
