A WORCESTER schoolboy had a brush with success after painting a winning Christmas card for city MP Mike Foster.
Eleven-year-old Stafano Ceci of St George's C of E Primary School beat dozens of other hopefuls when he designed the card which will be used this year by the MP
Every year Mr Foster invites children from across Worcester to design his official card and the entries were judged this year by Mark Higgitt, of the Evening News.
The youngster clinched the competition with his painting of Father Christmas.
"It was a very bold design," said Mr Higgitt, deputy editor of the paper.
"The card is very colourful and has a real festive spirit about it. No doubt it will brighten up many mantlepieces across the country.
"But I would add all the entries were very impressive and I would thank all the children who made the effort to take part."
