I FEEL I must reply to the letter from Councillor Carol Warren, Leader of Worcestershire County Council (Advertiser, December 6), when she criticises the settlement that Worcestershire has received from central government.
She carefully omits the fact that she is the Labour leader of the council and, in fact, it is her own party that has given us this ''pitiful'' (her words not mine) rise.
We all know just how unfair it is and that we live in a postcode society, but what happened to the slogan "Things can only get better" that Labour bandied around at the last election, Carol? Obviously not if you live in Worcestershire. Well not under this Government anyway.
