IT was the same old story for Alvechurch manager Mick Preece at the weekend when his side's trip to Bolehall Swifts was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
The postponement ended another frustrating week after the Rameses Midland Invitation Cup tie at home to Warley was rained off on Tuesday.
And with the pitch at Bromsgrove Rovers playable for Thursday's Worcestershire Senior Urn tie against Rovers reserves the match was postponed because part of a tree behind the ground had split from the trunk and was resting on the main stand.
Preece was hopeful of finally staging the Rameses tie at the fifth time of asking last night.
And in a change to the fixture programme Alvechurch entertain Northfield Town on Saturday (ko 2.45pm) before visiting league leaders Studley on Boxing Day (ko 11.30am).
