FISSC 0 Halfords 3
A fully committed performance saw Adam Hanrahan and Mark Edwards dominate the midfield, while new recruit Paul Hayden linked well down the left with Mick Perkins and John Crane.
Midway through the half Hayden released Richard Skan who returned the compliment for Hayden to bundle the ball home.
Gorton fielded two long-range efforts comfortably after the break before the superior fitness of Halfords saw them regain control.
On 70 minutes Skan was released down the right and his pass inside saw Crane turn his man before scoring with a hard low slot into the far corner.
With Halfords rampant Hanrahan, Hayden and Skan all had chances to increase the advantage before new signing Brett Farmer closed down the keeper with his tremendous pace to force the error which resulted in Hayden adding his second from 15 yards.
Halfords entertain neighbours Studley at the Entaco on Boxing Day (ko 11am).
