COUNCILLORS championing the plight of a Kidderminster woman stranded in hospital are encouraging people to send her a Christmas card.
Edna Langford has been in Evesham Community Hospital for 78 days and Wyre Forest district councillors Fran and Mike Oborski and have pledged to write to Prime Minister, Tony Blair, every day until she is returned home to her family in the town.
The 81-year-old, who suffers from Alzheimer's, has been in hospital for 10 weeks following a fall.
The Oborskis are protesting at the state of social services in the county and intend to write daily to various parties including Worcestershire County Council chief executive, Rob Sykes, to maintain pressure to secure Mrs Langford a place nearer her daughter's home on the Offmore Farm estate.
Cards can be sent to Edna Langford C/O 6 Osborne Close, Kidderminster, DY10 3YY.
