OUR appeal has gone swimmingly from start to finish.
A week after the launch we were dealt an ace by the Worcestershire Contract Bridge Association which gave £1,100.
Then, daring Bromsgrove mum Sharron Grimwood, of Harwood Park, handed over nearly £250 after an adrenaline pumping bungee jump.
Bromsgrove Junior Chamber members followed her shining example and donated £200.
Cheques were flying in swiftly and within weeks we received £500 from the Droitwich Spa branch of the Round Table, £1,000 from Bromsgrove Rotarians administering the Len Giles Trust, plus £1,000 from the estate of the late Michael Haighe-Webster. Sadly, there isn't room to mention everyone, but our sincere thanks go to all those who have given us their support.
