TOWNSFOLK can still switch on to a unique way to remember loved ones during the festive holidays.
Residents may have seen the Tree of Light, in Victoria Square - a charity venture led by the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa Saltway. Already 150 people have decided to sponsor a light on the cedar tree in memory of a relative or friend.
Nearly £1,000 has been raised for St Richard's Hospice, in Worcester, and other local charities.
Organisers have opened a book of memories for everyone who has taken part. It is on display at Droitwich Spa Library, in Victoria Square. The scheme will be open for donations until Twelfth Night.
Sponsorship forms are available from our High Street office or Lloyds TSB Bank, in Victoria Square.
