DON'T let thieves unwrap your Christmas presents before you do, is the message going out to Droitwich families.
Sparkling trees surrounded by piles of presents may be attractive, but it is a real festive gift to burglars.
Town officers are reminding residents to consider home and vehicle security in the run up to Christmas.
Division crime prevention manager PC Steve Chidlow said: "Whether your valuables are in the car or in your home, you should never leave them on show.
"If you are out shopping, always use security fitted to the car, put shopping out of sight in the boot and consider where you park."
He added: "Presents around the tree are enticing for thieves, keep them out of sight until Christmas Day and ensure doors and windows are locked."
