ALLOTMENT holders in Pershore are furious after vandals went on a wrecking spree at the Nogains plots this week.
A shed belonging to the mayor, Councillor John Grantham, who has had a plot at the town-council owned allotments for about 20 years, was also targeted.
He said: "It's just mindless, whoever did it are idiots, it was just a wrecking exercise."
About 30 of the 300 or so town council-owned plots had their sheds smashed up or overturned and their rain-water tanks kicked over or punctured sometime on Monday.
Coun Grantham said: "The allotment holders down here are furious, they're really fed up."
He said it was impossible to put a cost on the damage as many of the allotment holders had built their own sheds over many years.
He added that nothing appeared to have been stolen and no crops were damaged but the police had been informed.
