A BOURTON resident who has filled his garden with illuminated hanging baskets, bird baths and a wishing well has picked up a £100 prize.
Mervyn Bartlett, of Rye Close, won the inaugural competition held by the village's chamber of commerce to find the house in the village with the best outdoor festive decorations. His prize is a £100 voucher to spend at Bourton-on-the-Water Goldsmith.
Mr Bartlett's wife, Doris, said the couple had first decorated their house last year, but had decided to enter the competition this year after encouragement from their neighbours.
