A CASH appeal to fund social work activities carried out by a church group raised £4,600 in Droitwich Spa.
The town's Salvation Army branch, based in Ombersley Way, raised cash for its annual Red Shield Appeal by holding street collections and calling on support from businesses.
The donations will be added to money collected across the country to fund church projects for the homeless, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, homes for the elderly and tracing missing persons.
More than £500 was raised at the town's Safeway supermarket which was presented with a certificate for giving support.
