HIGH-FLYING Wyre Forest took on Kidderminster Premier Division leaders Timbertree but eventually succumbed 2-0.

Forest's defence held firm as their opponents had the best of the first half.

Michael Lavelle prevented the hosts taking the lead when he cleared off the line.

Forest began to take the game to their opponents in the second half but it was Timbertree who took the lead from the penalty spot after Ian Poyser accidentally handled inside the box.

Although they pressed hard, it was Timbertree who secured the points, putting themselves 11 points clear of fourth-placed Forest.

They entertain Chaddesley on Saturday, December 30.
