MILLENNIUM CELEBRATION: This was enjoyed by many villagers.
Thanks to all the unsung heroes who helped, by providing desserts, raffle prizes, putting up decorations and doing the chores. A day to remember !
DISCO: Tomorrow (Friday) there is a disco in the Royal British Legion Hall, in Moreton, from 8pm until late. Over 18s only, £2.50 admission. Proceeds in aid of Longborough Primary School.
SHOP HOURS: Martin is getting his Father Christmas hat out during the festive season and will be opening the village shop on Christmas Eve between 8am and noon.
On Christmas Day he will open from 9am until noon and on Boxing Day from 9am until noon.
ELECTORAL ROLL: The new draft Register of Electors is available for inspection at the village shop.
Any amendments should be sent to the Electoral Registration Office at Cotswold District Council.
ELSIE'S GIFT: A valuable piece of medical equipment, a lightweight suction pump costing £600, has been presented to the district nursing team at Moreton Hospital by villager, Mrs Elsie Hill, in appreciation of the way that her late son, Michael, was cared for by the district nurses.
