THE Annual Christingle Service will take place on Christmas Eve at 4pm in St James Church.
All children are invited to come along with their Christingles for this very beautiful service.
Last week in a beautifully decorated Ale House an evening of carols, readings and traditional entertainment took place. This together with mulled wine and warm mince pies made a fitting start to the festive season.
A nativity play from scratch formed the theme of last Sunday's Parish Praise at St James Church last Sunday. Children and adults alike took part and built up the story of Christmas interspersed with traditional carols. This service was organised by Pauline Veale.
At a concert given by the Colwall Singers in aid of the Acorn Children's Hospice, the grand sum of £270 was raised.
A large number of people attended the annual carols and readings in celebration of Christmas at The Good Shepherd last week. This was followed by hot punch, mince pies and other goodies.
