ST Mary's Church was full on Sunday evening for Carols by Candlelight.

The choir sang several items which were enjoyed by all and together with the readings and message from the Rev Chris Moss added to the very moving service. Thank you to everyone who helped to decorate the church, which looked beautiful.

Once again the children of Longdon St Mary's School delighted us with their annual play. Alice through the Looking Glass was performed with enthusiasm and enjoyment with all the children in the school participating. The costumes were magnificent and thanks must go to the staff and parents for all their hard work.

On Thursday, December 28 a disco for children aged between 4-12 years will be held at Longdon Village Hall from 7-9pm. Entrance is £1 and refreshments will be available.

St Mary's Christmas Fair was well supported last Saturday despite the floods. Over £500 was raised for church funds. Thank you to all who helped with this.
