MALVERN RM travelled to Droitwich on Sunday and were hoping to put their last performance behind them.
THE DOVEY 3, MALVERN RM 7
Chris Golding scored five goals to put Malvern back on target and give them a realistic chance of winning Division Four in the Worcester & District Sunday League.
Malvern scored first with Scott Senter after only seven minutes but could only hold the lead for three minutes. Malvern went in front again through Chris Golding on 17 minutes but yet again threw it away two mines later. Chris Golding scored two more goals on 23 and 45 minutes, to give Malvern a 4-2 lead at half time.
Malvern came out second half with full intentions to finish The Dovey off, chance after chance came and went until the 59th minute when Chris Golding scored his fourth goal of the match, six minutes later he scored his fifth and Malvern's sixth.
On 66 minutes Scott Senter was fouled by the goalkeeper and Tim Clarke converted the spot kick with ease.
The Dovey fought back scoring on 73 minutes but it was too late, Malvern winning the match 7-3.
On Sunday (December 24) Malvern RM are home to Bringsty Sports, players to meet at the ground at 10am.
