A SHOP worker attacked a robber with one of his own weapons on Saturday but could not stop him stealing cash from the till.
The 40-year-old woman was working behind the counter at MS Supermarket, Sutton Road, Kidderminster, when two men walked in with a knife and a stick.
She grabbed the stick and hit one of the men over the head as they stole cash from the till at about 10pm.
She was then hit in the face, resulting in a cut, swelling and bruising around her left eye.
One of the men who went behind the counter to steal cash is described as black, about 35 and 6ft, of thin build and wearing a black cotton waist-length coat.
Police are trying to trace black Renault 19 car, registration L675 UTR, which was seen in the area at the time of the raid and was also used in an armed robbery at McDonalds in Wolverhampton an hour later.
Anyone with information should call Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888.
