BROMSGROVE-BORN Trudie Styler, who is married to pop star Sting, has seen her matchmaking efforts come to fruition following Madonna's all-star wedding on Friday.
The former Bromsgrove High School pupil introduced the superstar to her new husband, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels film director Guy Ritchie, at a dinner party at her north London home in 1998.
The couple's marriage took place at historic Skibo Castle in the peaceful Sutherland town of Dornoch, in the Scottish Highlands.
Trudie, whose father, Harry, lived in Walls Road, Stoke Heath, until his death earlier this year, was accompanied to the ceremony by her rock star husband and four-year-old son Giacomo.
Madonna wore a dress designed by guest Stella McCartney, daughter of Beatles favourite Paul, and her matron of honour was believed to be Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow.
Other guests included actor Rupert Everett, Madonna's co-star in the film The Next Best Thing.
