THE MP for Bromsgrove is helping stamp out disease among children in the Third World by joining in a national appeal.
Julie Kirkbride is contributing to the Blue Peter Appeal by collecting used stamps which will help provide medical services for children in the Andes, in South America.
Having learned about the appeal after watching the show with baby Angus, Miss Kirkbride felt the appeal was ideal for an MP who gets a lot of post.
She said: "I remember watching Blue Peter as a little girl and saving my stamps to help other children across the world.
"I'm pleased that as an MP I am now in a position to save even more stamps."
