A MAN needed stitches to the face after an unprovoked attack in Kidderminster during the weekend.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack on the Asian man, who was assaulted after leaving Mirage nightclub in the town's New Road.
The victim was talking at a hot food van opposite the club at 2am on Saturday when the incident took place.
The attacker - described as being white, 5ft 8in tall and of broad build, with dark hair and wearing a black shirt - had been standing in a queue at the van before making a racist comment and hitting the victim.
He then walked off with two or three other men, leaving his victim bruised and in need of three stitches to his lower lip.
Kidderminster police spokeswoman Caroline Schubert appealed for anyone with any information on the attack to come forward.
"We're seeking witnesses to this attack to contact Kidderminster police on 01562 820888 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111," she said.
