A FEAST of goals at St Georges Sports saw the hot favourites for the Worcester and District Football League Sunday Division one title completely overwhelm Express 88 14-2.
Ex-Walsall YTS starlet Danny Hilditch netted five times, Jimmy Hughes grabbed a hat-trick and there were two goals each for Roger Ewins, Trevor Hughes and John Webb. In the same division, Peter Barry scored four times as Talbot Head hammered Archdales Reserves 7-1. The Dales senior side had a thrilling 4-3 win over Upton Sports with Steve Ennis (3) and Kenny Jenkins on target.
Rob Perrins was another hat-trick man as Hanley Swan won 6-0 at GPO Rangers.
St Johns Sports kept up their division Four title challenge with a 5-1 win at Red Lion Falcons, Sam Shuker (3), Chris Jones and Jamie Smith their goalscorers. There were two goals each for Tim Preece of Malvern Premier who beat Powick 3-1; Jason O'Donnell in The Dovey's 4-1 win over CMB Sports; Adrian Field as Droitwich Spa won 3-2 again Oak Apple and John Kelly of Coppertops who beat Birdport 2-0. Chris Golding and Eddie Stimpson both bagged a brace as Malvern RM crushed Brinsty Sports 7-1. AFC Vauxhall drew 1-1 with Trinity Sports, Gavin Allen on target for Vauxhall, Chris Finch replying for Trinity.
On Saturday an eight goal thriller at Langland Sports saw the home team beat Powick 5-3 with goals from Adam Morse (3), Stuart Harvey and Tim Creese. Powick's goals came from Richard Thompson (2) and James Gomersall. Plumbers Arms beat Inkberrow Reserves 4-2, Mark Kirkham bagging two with Adie Wooller and Lance Butler also on the scoresheet. Dew Drop went down 2-1 at home to Portobello, Neil Thompson and Lee King on target for the visitors, Micky Bartlett netting a consolation for Dew Drop.
